Luzhniki Stadium is located at the centre of Moscow’s 145-hectare Olympic complex, one of the largest sports complexes in the world. Luzhniki Stadium will be the main venue and the heart of the 2018 FIFA World Cup™ tournament, used for the Opening Match, a semi-final and the Final. The Luzhniki sports complex stretches along the Moscow River and lies opposite the beautiful Vorob’evy Hills Natural Park. The majestic Moscow State University observation area overlooks the stadium.

The other matches due to be played in Moscow will take place at the Otkrytiye Arena (Spartak Stadium).

The airport is located 30km south-west of the city centre of Moscow, it takes approximately 28 minutes to travel there by car.

At 42 kilometres (26 miles) away to the south east, it is less conveniently located for the city centre than Vnukovo, but it does offer FBO facilities for private aviation users.

The Krestovsky Stadium also called Zenit Arena, is a retractable roof stadium in the western portion of Krestovsky Island in Saint Petersburg, Russia, which serves as home for FC Zenit Saint Petersburg. The stadium was opened in 2017 for the FIFA Confederations Cup. Initially, it was planned to be completed by December 2008, which was changed to late 2011 and was scheduled to open in 2017.

The stadium has a capacity of 68,134 people. It is called Saint Petersburg Stadium during the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup and 2018 FIFA World Cup.

NIZHNY NOVGOROD

Nizhny Novgorod colloquially shortened to Nizhny, is a city in the administrative centre of Volga Federal District and Nizhny Novgorod Oblast in Russia. From 1932 to 1990, it was known as after the writer Maxim Gorky, who was born there. The city is an important economic, transportation, scientific, educational and cultural centre in Russia and the vast Volga-Vyatka economic region, and is the main centre of river tourism in Russia. In the historic part of the city there are many universities, theatres, museums and churches. Nizhny Novgorod is located about 400 km east of Moscow.

Strigino Airport, sometimes referred to as Nizhy Novgorod Airport, is located 14km southwest of the city centre of Nizhny Novgorod.
